Alpenglow is one of my very favorite words.  It's of German origin, and refers to the bright band of salmon pink that appears across a mountain ridge at sunset.  It's the kind of thing only mountain climbing hippies know about, and my favorite thing to do above the treeline at sunset before descending to camp is drink hot chocolate, so naturally this is a blend of cocoa, vanilla, and patchouli.

We all know the story...a little boy and a little girl walking through the forest come across a ginger bread house and have a fight with a cannibalistic witch. The children of course win out in the end, and the witch meets a fiery fate. This perfume smells like the good parts of the story--wood, pine sap, and sweet spices. Not so much cannibals.
